I liked the dynamic between Blake and Elise. It was a pleasure to see Menchares’ fatherly side. I love short stories if only for the fact the leave me wanting for more.

Frost did just that and I cannot wait for another installment in the series. AKMamma Nov 25, I liked both characters and felt for both.

Everything happened very quickly in feelings but that happens with short stories and this one had a life or death push, which can bring out strong feelings. The story and ending, of getting rid of the demon, was well told and thought out. Overall, cute short story. Might be a problem for some- She does have Cat and Bones show up and talks about things that happened in Book 3 of the Night Huntress series.

I haven’t read book 3 yet, only book 1 and 2, so didn’t really want a spoiler but I don’t think I’ll remember much anyway the only thing I can remember now is talking about combining with and co-mastering with Menchares, though there were 2 other points and what I did frodt hopefully won’t be too bad a tell. Cat and Bones showed up for a little while, and Mencheres was there as well.

Frost always writes so well, and this was no different! Elise is a 99 year old vampire, who lives secluded at an abandoned metro station. One day, Blake shows up.

He’s possessed by a demon, and tries to kill himself in order to be free of the demon. Elise finally starts to feel something again, and decides she wants to try to save him: Plagued with constant black outs and a trail of dead bodies in his wake, Blake thinks vampire Elise is his best chance frst ending the nightmare.
