Garry Kasparov’s Great Predecessors: Follow-up #2

They’re nothing more than regular chess books with annotated games in it, plus a bit of chess history. Considering that you can find these everywhere and all of Kasparov’s games for completely free, the only thing you pay for is Kasparov’s opinions about them, which definitely not worth it, only if you’re a die hard fan of him.


The books are excellent. I remember going through only one or two games in detail and it left a deep mark on me. Try to follow through all the variations and undoubtedly you will understand more about chess. If you dream of being a strong chess player you should surely churn out everything from this book, it is very informative and unlike other chess books you dont get that bored since you are listening to a story in every chapter.

The 1st and 2nd volumes are already analyzed in detail in other books, some even in the mammoth book of greatest chess games and others. I’ve only got book 1. Published by Batsford Chess. So its the same old Kaspy but re-analyzed by new authors. Very good books, but you need at least FIDE or chess.
