He enjoyed embarrassing and making fun of her. I want to punch his arrogant face! I’ve had enough of this! Sorry, I can’t finish it. I know I’m a picky reader, but in this case, it’s totally the book, not me!! View all 18 comments. Feb 24, Emily rated it really liked it Shelves: Breanne Mooreland has had it with her run of bad luck when it comes to men, jilted at the alter she decides to go ahead and use the honeymoon retreat they had planned. She should have realized that the groom not showing up was the first sign that her life was about to go completely awry, now facing a naked man in her honeymoon suite has her running for the door.

Having had his life in shambles over the past couple of months, he just wants to ski, relax, and maybe find a couple of ski bunnies to warm his bed.
What he ends up with in return is a stunning woman who turns him down every chance she gets, a dead body, and a chance to figure out what he wants to do with the rest of his life. Hilarious book, there are some really funny moments between Breanne and Cooper. Cooper has page swagger, his sensuality oozes through each page and you almost hope the book never ends because of it. Love Jill Shalvis, deliciously fun. Oct 19, Jennifer rated it it was ok. If Aussie Rules mystery was backburner quality, this books mystery quotient was practically non-existent.

I just couldn’t get into it at all. I don’t have trouble with love at first sight books, but I just wasn’t buying it in this case. Maybe because the characters seemed unrealistic.
If I am supposed to believe Breanne is tough and independent, then make her cue tough and independent.
Don’t dlue her cry at the drop of a hat and jump into some random guys arms jill chance she gets. Being scared If Aussie Rules mystery was backburner quality, this books mystery quotient was practically non-existent. Being scared of the dark is understandable, but if you’re used to taking care of yourself, you’ve probably figured out some tricks to deal with it by the time you are an adult.
Unbelievable characters made the romance side of the story seem a little weird. It made the sex seem out of place, especially since there is so much of it.
Every chapter ji,l a sex scene in this book, which is fine if there was enough real interaction between the sex scenes to make me believe in the romance. But sadly there wasn’t, so I tried to focus on the mystery portion of the book.
Unfortunately, the mystery was pretty non-existent too. It gets 2 stars because the writing is catching and there are some really funny moments. Shalvis can definitely write. I just wish the character development had been more consistent. Jun 25, Lisa Kay rated it it was amazing Shelves: Tied for my favorite of JS’s work.
For a cle mystery with romance and humor I liked this story.

The heroine decides to go on her honeymoon alone after she is left at the altar. Some people said her accidently jilk up the complimentary honeymoon suite lighted vibrator instead of the flashlight when the lights go out of course the lights go out! Plus, the hero is a sexy cop. View all 7 comments. Mar 08, D. This was one of the silliest, “funny” romantic suspense books.
The plot was totally crazy – those people in that house should have been kept to their rooms instead of roaming around, with a supposed murderer on the loose. The heroine was one of those people who sabotages her whole life – she was left at the altar once so she proceeds to pick losers that keep living her at the altar which proves that men are not trustworthy. The only good part of the book were the chapter headers from her diary.
Jun 09, Jae rated it really liked it Recommended to Jae by: Cluee crazy cute story, as to be expected from Jill Shalvis. The chapter headers were very hilarious. I am a sucker for a comedic romance and can always count on JS for that. Truly an enjoyable read. And the sex was very hot and wicked. That’s cool copper Cooper for you. Ehalvis in one word. Breanne our heroine has just been dumped at the altar for the 3rd time. Yup, she chooses the worst men ever. So, after being dumped, braving a bumpy flight, loosing her luggage, she arrives in the middle of the night to the place she was supposed to honeymoon. Her arrival is weird, no-one is there at the entrance and then she walks into a room and into the shower where a very naked Ehalvis is taking a shower. Cooper is our hero, he has recently quit his job as a cop and has been sent by his brother to take some time off and clear his mind.
But relaxation is not what they get. What they get is fun and mayhem and a dead-body.
The staff is all cagey and seems to act all weird. There are some sexy ger and romance seems to be going on even among the staff.
The book is all fun and the notes Breanne makes in her blackberry for herself are damn funny. Breanne has had a really bad day. She got left at the altar for the third time and decided her only option was to escape by going on her pre-paid honeymoon alone. shwlvis

A turbulent flight with unpleasant seatmates and lost luggage just adds to the stress. She arrives at her destination in the midst of the blizzard of the century to discover that there is a sexy man taking a shower in her room and claiming that it’s his room.
Cooper is a vice cop who has reached the end of his rope. His plan f Fun book. His plan for this vacation is to eat, sleep, and maybe find a couple of snow bunnies to spend some time with. The last thing he needs is a crazy woman claiming the room is hers.
But he’s willing to share the room I loved the first meeting between Breanne and Cooper. Him all wet and soapy in the shower, giving Breanne quite gget eyeful, and her wielding the only weapon she could find – a bright pink, glow in the dark shalviw. There are sparks between them right away, but both are determined to resist. Cooper is not relationship material.
